Job Description:

Oncologists take care of patients with cancer and blood disorders. They prescribe treatments like chemotherapy and immunotherapy but also provide counseling to patients regarding their diagnosis, prognosis, and end-of-life care in certain situations.

Career Path/Requirements:

After I completed my fellowship training, I worked at another private practice for 2 years before starting at my current private practice in 2011. Now in addition to seeing patients, I also serve as regional medical director, utilization management director, and principal investigator for several clinical trials.
